Louise Wood has lived in South Woodham Ferrers since 1986.
Before starting K9 Trails she was a Police Officer with Essex Police retiring in 2006.
Now in her mid forties, Louise has been around animals all her life and has plenty of experience caring for dogs, cats, small furries, fish and horses. She grew up with dogs and ponies and was on the Police Mounted Section for two years.
Louise identified a need in the area for a reliable pet care service that allows pet owners to avoid the stress of leaving pets in a kennel or cattery. The name K9 Trails was inspired by her love of walking Barney along the beautiful riverside walks surrounding SWF.
Louise 's own pets currently include:
- Barney Rubble the cocker spaniel who you will often see out and about on their walks.
- Coco and Candy the hamsters (belonging to Ellen and Tom)
- Tropical fish (who keep breeding!!!)
K9 Trails is a member of the National Association of Registered Petsitters, and is fully insured and CRB Police checked.
